FoodIt is a prototype service. By using the app you agree to scan only receipts you have legitimately received from real purchases.
Scanning. You scan by taking a photo of the whole receipt. The app reads the receipt fields (this is not a user-facing QR scan step). Points are awarded only for receipts that match supported stores on the FoodIt map and pass anti-fraud checks.
Points and rewards are virtual and may change. FoodIt may revoke points from receipts later flagged as fraudulent. Attempts to bypass checks (re-using receipts, sharing them for duplicate points, etc.) may result in account suspension.
Invites. The refer-a-friend bonus applies only to valid new sign-ups with an invite code. Abuse (fake accounts) voids bonuses.
The service is provided as-is during the prototype phase.
