What we collect. Your email, username, optional birth year and gender (for anonymous trends), data from receipts you scan (hashed ΜΑΡΚ, amount, store, timestamp), and profile data (points, avatar, badges).
Camera / receipts. When you scan, you take a photo of the whole receipt. The image is sent to our servers and to an AI provider (Anthropic) solely to extract receipt fields (store, amount, ΜΑΡΚ, date). We do not permanently store the image; we store a hashed ΜΑΡΚ and metadata for anti-fraud and points.
Location. If you allow GPS while scanning, we use it ephemerally to check you are near the store. Coordinates are not saved on your profile.
Friends & ranks. Your username, tier, points and recent scans may be visible to accepted friends and on public leaderboards.
Deletion. Email privacy@foodit.gr to delete your account and associated data.
